Profile
“I take a systemic and relational view of all questions, realizing that you may not know why you have gotten to this point in your life.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I worked in information technology for a Fortune 500 company that went through restructuring. When asked to move and following a reduction in force, I decided to embark on a second career and become a therapist. I loved my classes on the intro to family and systems therapy and related my experience of building systems to individuals and families.
What should someone know about working with you?
The first session will go as long as we need it to. I do an assessment of where you are, asking questions about your life and what you are here for in a solution-focused manner. I explain who I am and what therapy is all about and we talk about your experiences in therapy, the good and the bad. From that, we build a collaboration to help achieve your goals.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
I take a systemic and relational view of all questions, realizing that you may not know why you have gotten to this point in your life. I engage with you in an empathetic, active manner to help you find the answers that will work best for you.
