“My goals are to help people learn effective coping strategies, strengthen their relationships, and live more meaningful lives, all while continuing to grow and learn as a practitioner and person.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
My goals are to help people learn effective coping strategies, strengthen their relationships, and live more meaningful lives, all while continuing to grow and learn as a practitioner and person. After many years in advertising, I began to grow weary of helping advertisers prey on consumer emotions and encourage people to buy products that they really didn’t need, so I decided to help individuals understand their own feelings and live more meaningful lives.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am a lifelong learner and enjoy continuing to learn new things and approaches. I attend regular seminars and continuing education courses to learn new techniques that can benefit my clients. I plan to attend EMDR training soon to offer this technique to my clients.
