Profile
“I have been a long-standing advocate for whole-person care and holistic nursing.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have many years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, PTSD, perinatal mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. I previously worked as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner liaison consultant at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
What should someone know about working with you?
I treat my clients with high-quality care and compassion. I am receptive to the distinctive mental health needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have been a long-standing advocate for whole-person care and holistic nursing. I give a lot of meaning to multicultural perspectives on healthcare.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
As a full-time employee in a county teaching hospital, I am mandated to take educational classes throughout the year. As a nurse practitioner, I have to participate in annual conferences to renew my license.
