What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have been certified as a state-qualified sex therapist since 1993. I am also certified in hypnosis and a federally-qualified substance abuse evaluator. I have extensive experience in child and family therapy and am grateful for the positive response from decades of quality care for clients and corporations.
What should someone know about working with you?
Our caring staff will assist you from your first inquiry and guide you to the initial consultation. Therapeutic homework assignments are related to the goals you set and I coach you to your personal championship.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
At Davis Sound Mind, we were embracing telehealth before the pandemic made it cool. We already had the tools and the experience to use it with maximum impact. I'm totally fired up about the sweeping changes in mental health delivery. The silver lining to a catastrophic pandemic was the push for other therapists and companies to think outside the box.
Tell us more about yourself.
I’m a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area and have raised two (now grown) children. Both my kids are in healthcare and my LCSW/MBA daughter is the muse of the innovations made at Davis Sound Mind. I am a longtime group triathlete and I co-created Team Psych Triathlon Racing Club, which spurs our sports performance psychology program. I am also the founder and current president of the Tampa Bay Employee Assistance Professionals Association. Our charities include Strides Against Breast Cancer and Success 4 Kids & Families. We support fundraising for cystic fibrosis as well.
