“I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York and New Jersey, specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I have devoted my professional career to providing therapy to young adults and adults. I earned a master’s degree in social work from Touro College in 2010. I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York and New Jersey, specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and combine my down-to-earth and compassionate approach with a strengths-based perspective to enable each client to thrive. I utilize a relational and psychodynamic approach in conjunction with my certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and my training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). I am passionate about helping others successfully navigate and overcome challenges.
What should someone know about working with you?
A key component in the therapeutic relationship is feeling comfortable and safe within the session. My honest and open communication style coupled with my sincerity and compassion allows me to make each client feel empowered and able to open up and share of themselves.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I think two of the barriers to seeking care today are time and location. That is why I am excited to be a part of the online therapy community. Being able to speak to someone from the comfort of your home without navigating traffic can reduce stress and promote healing.
