Profile
“I believe my clients would describe me as easy to talk to, nonjudgmental, and goal-oriented.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I met Dr. Hyman Spotnitz when I was a young mother and attended his lecture on the role of the father. I was so inspired by him that I decided to become a psychoanalyst and study under him so I could help others too. I naturally gravitated toward helping parents and families, which has been my specialty for 30 years.
What should someone know about working with you?
I believe my clients would describe me as easy to talk to, nonjudgmental, and goal-oriented. I am ALWAYS available to clients by phone, text, or email and it doesn't matter if you want to address short-term or long-term goals; we customize a plan together.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am always taking courses to improve my skills.
How do your own core values shape your approach to therapy?
I am a big believer in the power of a positive mindset and help guide my clients toward staying positive, which is very important in challenging times.
Have you done any research-based work that you found particularly exciting? How does it inform your practice today?
I am doing a lot of research on mindset coaching, growth mindset, and fixed mindset.
