Profile
“I understand that each client is unique and I tailor treatment to their specific needs and diagnosis.”
What should someone know about working with you?
I understand that each client is unique and I tailor treatment to their specific needs and diagnosis. I utilize a combination of evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), psychodynamic theory, strengths-based approaches, and holistic and mindfulness approaches. I provide a comfortable atmosphere where open and honest communication can take place.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I participate in continuing education regularly. I am always striving to stay up-to-date with the newest research and practices as a therapist. There is constant opportunity to learn as a therapist from therapist and client relationships as well as training and seminars.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
Teletherapy has become increasingly more popular and satisfying for clients. The evolving mental health landscape allows for clients to not only have better access to therapists of their choice but also utilize teletherapy where they can experience the convenience of having a session while home, traveling, or on a lunch break. I have found that teletherapy allows consistency, regularity, and comfort for the client.
