Profile
“I've specialized in working with perfectionists, people with trauma, and mothers.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
This is my first career; I've wanted to be in mental health for as long as I can remember. I worked for five years at a mental health inpatient hospital. This helped me become efficient in therapeutic practices. I've specialized in working with perfectionists, people with trauma, and mothers.
What should someone know about working with you?
I'm collaborative in my sessions, I assign homework if appropriate, and I enjoy working with high-achieving professional women.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge of sex therapy. I continue my education in trauma, particularly childhood abuse.
How do your core values shape your approach to therapy?
My family is Arabic and progressive. This assisted in shaping my worldview to be open-minded and embrace a salad bowl culture.
What are you most excited about within the evolving mental health landscape?
I enjoy researching how virtual reality is integrated into therapy.
What makes therapy beneficial?
It's an open, safe, and nonjudgmental space to explore your concerns or fears and challenge intrusive thoughts.
