Profile
“In our work together, we will explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in a way that will give you a deeper and clearer understanding of what you need to be more profoundly happy, satisfied, and successful.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
I obtained my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Carlos Albizu University and a second master’s degree in psychodynamic approach with adolescents. I completed my clinical internship at MUJER, working with children, adolescents, and women affected by traumatic events such as domestic violence and sexual abuse. As a teenager, I found myself searching for answers and began reading any self-help book or memoir related to mental health that I could get my hands on. I quickly realized that I had a thirst for understanding the psychology of the mind and wanted to dedicate my life to helping others understand their emotions.
What should someone know about working with you?
In our work together, we will explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in a way that will give you a deeper and clearer understanding of what you need to be more profoundly happy, satisfied, and successful. We will reclaim the self that you lost, whether through negative experiences (such as trauma, abuse, or betrayal) or through painful emotions (such as depression, anxiety, or living inauthentically). I will be with you and guide you as you explore these parts of your life and make conscious decisions about the person you want to be.
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I have always been very interested in spiritual topics like Buddhism and other practices that promote awareness and self-development. I want to integrate mindfulness-based techniques, energy psychology, and somatic treatments that will create peace and alignment among your mind, body, heart, and soul.
