“There is nothing more meaningful to me than watching my clients break down their walls, push their boundaries, and become the people they dream of being.”
What was your path to becoming a therapist?
The mental health field is something I have been passionate about since I was a child. I was a pretty empathic kid and always found ways to incorporate this into my personal life, which has now transitioned into my career. I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their life; they just need to find the right fit. There is nothing more meaningful to me than watching my clients break down their walls, push their boundaries, and become the people they dream of being. I have counseled a diverse clientele in many settings, including schools and homes, and continue to welcome clients from varied backgrounds to my practice. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Auburn University and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from La Salle University. I have continued on in my education in EMDR and I am now a trained anxiety and trauma therapist.
What should someone know about working with you?
I am an empathic, accepting, and authentic therapist who strives to create a trusting atmosphere in which clients feel safe, heard, and validated. I'm very happy to offer free phone or video consultations to discuss your concerns and my background to determine whether we might work well together. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
What do you do to continue learning and building competencies as a provider?
I believe it is so important for therapists to continue training as our minds and society are forever evolving. I participate in weekly supervision as well as a bi-monthly group consultation with others in the mental health field.
